Michael James "M.J." McLewee

Ellabell- Michael James “M.J.” McLewee, age 17 passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023.  M.J. was born February 16, 2006 in Fredericksburg, VA.  He had recently finished his sophomore year at Bryan County High School and was looking forward to his junior year.  M.J. was very involved with the Junior ROTC at Bryan County High School and competed on the state level in the Raiders competition.  M.J. loved to fish and to play football and basketball.  

Survivors include his parents, Amanda Blair Greene Washington and Eric Washington of Ellabell; one brother, Dylon Ray Howard of Ellabell;  his maternal grandparents, Laura Dee Greene and John Henry Greene of Lawrenceville, VA; paternal grandparents, William Hearn and Sharon Elaine Washington of Port Huron, MI;  and aunts and uncles, Brandon Summers, Brook Goodman and Bryan Greene.

A memorial service will be held 2 P.M. Saturday, June 15, 2023 in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home.  The family will recieved friends one hour prior to the service.
