Sue Wilson Smith

Ellabell- Martha Sue Wilson Smith, age 75, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Candler Hospital in Savannah. Mrs. Smith was born in Metter, GA to the late Johnnie Sebron Wilson and Bertha Mae Chester Wilson. Mrs. Sue was co-owner and operator of Mammy’s Kitchen in Savannah. She loved dining out and collecting stamps and coins. Mrs. Sue also loved her trips to the nail salon and to Biloxi, MS. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Smith and three brothers, Pete Wilson, Joe Wilson and Henry Wilson. 

 Survivors include her son Allen Cason of Pulaski and his companion, Glenda Cason of Savannah; two daughters and a son-in-law, Angelique and Lewis “Buddy” McLamb, Jr. of Ellabell and Suzy Prosser of Chatham County; one brother, Earl (Nancy) Wilson of Garden City; one sister, Faye (Johnny) Cobb of Faulkville; grandchildren, Jeffrey Cason, Amy Roberts, Stephen Cason, Jennifer Cason, Lewis McLamb, III, William McLamb, Olivia Buckosh, Tracy McLamb, Eli Mallon, and Kyndall Prosser; 18 great grandchildren and numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

 Visitation will be held Noon- 2 P.M. Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at the funeral home.

 Funeral service will follow at 2 P.M. Tuesday, September 3, 2024 in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Tyson officiating. 

 Interment will follow in Ash Branch Cemetery.
