Brooklet- Mark Eldred Lanier, age 53 passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020 at his home. Mr. Lanier was born February 24, 1967 to the late Truman Eldred Lanier and Mrs. Jacquelyn “Jackie” Crosby Lanier. He grew up in Stilson and was a 1985 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School. He immediately joined the Local Ironworkers Union 709 and was currently still working and active in the union. Mr. Lanier enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved being outdoors. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Paul Nasworthy.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Paula Nasworthy Lanier of Brooklet; son, Logan Paul Lanier of Pittsfield, MA; daughter, Lily Grace Lanier of Brooklet; mother, Jacquelyn “Jackie Crosby Lanier of Pembroke; brother, Avery Lanier of Pembroke; sisters and a brother-in-law, Jacquelyn Scarlett “Cissy” Lanier of Pembroke, Melody and Donnie Hunt of Pembroke and Paige Yates of Pembroke; mother-in-law, Helen Nasworthy of Statesboro; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dee and Jerome Proman of Richmond Hill and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2020. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2020 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Bryant officiating.
Due to COVID-19 the funeral home asks that guest practice social distancing. Face mask are not mandatory but are strongly recommended.
