Marie Wells

Hinesville- Marie Conner Wells, age 76, passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at her home.  Mrs. Wells was born in Candler County to the late Rufus and Lillian Lee Conner.  She retired as a paralegal from her husband’s law firm, A.G Wells Attorney At Law and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Pembroke.  Mrs. Wells loved the outdoors, enjoyed cutting grass, fishing, trips to the mountains and taking care of her cats.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by three brothers, Emmitt Hendrix, Ray Conner, and Doy Conner and two sisters, Rita Morris and Mary Rucker.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years, A.G. Wells; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Tony and Tracy Helmuth of Brunswick and Ray Griner, Jr. of Waynesboro; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Angela Torres of Glennville, Nicki Lee of Hinesville, Shelly Wells of Hinesville, Marie and Bruce Dubberly of Hinesville and Shannon and Louis Montijo of Hinesville; one brother, Randy Conner of Baltimore; 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 1-2 P.M. Friday, October 29, 2021 at Liberty Baptist Church.  Funeral service will follow at 2 P.M. Friday, October 29, 2021 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Hamilton officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
