Margie Elizabeth Cone

Mrs. Margie Elizabeth Cone, age 71, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Candler Hospital. Mrs. Cone was born in Statesboro to the late Daniel Noon Beckworth and Lucy Mae Hodges Beckworth on December 22, 1949. She was a loving and devoted house wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, was an excellent cook and was a member of Savannah Holy Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Thomas Lee Cone; daughter, Amanda Renee Cone; five brothers, James D. Beckworth, Lewis M. Beckworth, Leon Beckworth, Robert W. Beckworth and William Beckworth and sister, Nancy Smith.

Survivors include one son, Anthony Cone and his wife Davina of Bloomingdale; two daughters, Amy Cone of Jacksonville, FL and Angela Cone of Charles Town, WV; three brothers, Jack Beckworth and his wife Carol of Blitchton, Terrell Beckworth of Guyton and Ronald Beckworth and his wife Rachel of Ellabell; three sisters, Martha Wiggins and her husband Ronnie of Ellabell, Brenda Sapp and her husband Kevin of Claxton and Janie Fiorot and her husband Jack of Marianna, FL; three grandchildren, Ansley Roadcap and her husband Israel of Charles Town, WV, Adam Cone and Adrian Cone both of Bloomingdale and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Flanders Powell Funeral Home on Monday, February 15, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Funeral service will be held in the Morrison Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jep Newberry and Pastor Ryan Ralston officiating.

Burial will follow at Northside Cemetery.
