Lunelle Winters

Pembroke- Mrs. Janie Lunelle Archer Winters, 76, passed away on March 29, 2015 at her residence. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and served as the secretary for the Savannah District Director of State Farm.  She was an excellent seamstress, an avid gardener spending much time taking care of her lawn; she enjoyed making glass art and loved playing and coaching softball in the Savannah City League, Church league and recreation league.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Lila Mae Sparks Archer; and brother, Billy Archer.

Survivors include her husband of twenty years, Robert Winters of Pembroke; son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Heather Wingate of Pooler; daughters and son-in-law, Kathi  and Craig Dixon of Rincon, and Gale Huggins of Pembroke; brother and sister-in-law Tony and Paula  Archer of Oxford, NC; sister-in-law, Aliene Archer; grandchildren, Zachary Wingate, Michael Prewitt, Justin Prewitt, Lindsay and Austin Rahn, Kaitlyn Dixon, John Huggins, Stephanie and Juan Portilla; and great-grandson, Jacob Huggins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the funeral home from 6 until 9 p.m.

Funeral service will be on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dan Bryant officiating.

Burial will follow at Northside Cemetery.

Flanders Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
