Linda Wood

Mrs. Linda Faye Purvis Wood, 72, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019 after a brief illness at Candler Hospital. Mrs. Wood was born in Ellabell to the late Troy and Bertie Ennis Purvis on July 10, 1946. She was employed for 30 years as a shipping clerk with Kennickell Printing Company and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Wood was the only girl out of six siblings, was the guardian angel of animals and loved spending time with her friends, family and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Purvis and Donnie Purvis.

Survivors include two sons, Brian Bullard and his wife Beth of Hardeeville and Chris Bullard and his wife Melissa of Charlotte; four brothers, Ardie Purvis of Savannah, Troy Purvis, Jr. of Metter, Gene Purvis and his wife Nancy of Savannah and Kenneth Purvis and his wife Barbara of Savannah; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dan Bryant officiating.

Burial will follow at Lower Black Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to either the Palmetto Animal League Adoption Center at 56 Riverwalk Blvd., Ridgeland, SC 29936 or the Humane Society for Greater Savannah at 7215 Sallie Mood Dr., Savannah, GA 31406.
