Bloomingdale/Pembroke- Mrs. Leola Blitch Lynn, age 96, died Monday morning, September 7, 2015 at her home while surrounded by her family. Mrs. Lynn was the daughter of the late William Wesley and Molly Gill Shuman. She was a native of Bryan County, a seamstress at Pembroke Manufacturing, and was a long-time member of Beulah Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Blitch Eubanks (Gerald) of Bloomingdale; two sons, Curtis Blitch, Jr. of Thomson and Jimmy Blitch (Catherine) of Pembroke; adopted daughter, Karen Blitch Giddens of Pooler; one brother, Robert Shuman of Brooklet; one sister Mattie Lee Bacon of Pembroke; 15 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Bryant officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
