Mrs. Laura Williams Sheffield, 54, passed away at LeConte Medical Center in Sevierville, TN on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 after a brief illness. Mrs. Sheffield was born on August 11, 1963 to Floyd Fred Williams, Sr. and Laura Lee Shepard Williams in Savannah. She was a lifelong resident of Pembroke, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed music, especially playing the piano and spending time with her children and especially her grandson, Colson. Mrs. Sheffield was a member of the Savannah Holy Church of God.
Survivors include her husband Chester C. Sheffield, III of Pembroke; two sons, Cole Sheffield and his wife April and Travis Sheffield; grandson, Colson Sheffield all of Pembroke; mother, Laura S. Williams of Pembroke; three brothers, Floyd Williams, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Pembroke, James Williams and his wife Tammy of Nevils, and John and Joyce Williams of Sylvania, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 3 – 6 p.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Savannah Holy Church of God with Reverend Ryan Ralston and Jonathan Mingledorff officiating.
Burial will follow at Northside Cemetery.
