Korey Meckell Shelton

Mr. Korey Meckell Shelton, age 23, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023. Mr. Shelton was born in Savannah on October 15, 1999 and loved by his parents, Greg Mikell and Robin Mikell. He had an Aeronautical Engineering Degree and was employed with Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation for over 2 years. Mr. Shelton enjoyed traveling, playing video games and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by a paternal grandmother, Vivian Mikell and a maternal great grandfather, Leon Griffin.

Survivors include his wife, Tyanna Saunders; parents, Greg Mikell and Robin Shelton Mikell; brother, Jared Vann; two sisters, Katlyn Shelton and Mackenize Shelton all of Ellabell; paternal grandfather, Cecil Mikell of Savannah; maternal grandparents, Jim and Jan Shelton of Bloomingdale; maternal great grandmother, Nell Lewis; three nephews, Logan Stephens, J.J. Harrison and Jahlil Harrison; niece, Sy’Niah Jordan and several cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Flanders Powell Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at Brewton Cemetery.
