Kim Barrick

Midway-  Mrs. Kimberly “Kim” Ann Jones Barrick, age 60, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023.  Mrs. Barrick was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Danny Jones and Gloria Atkinson Holmes.  Kim was a graduate of Ivy Tech Technical College, had served as a registered nurse for well over 30 years, and had served as a hospice nurse for the last ten years.  Her most recent employer being Pruitt Hospice for 4 years.  She loved taking care of her patients and had a love for animals.  Mrs. Kim enjoyed taking care of her chickens and her puppy, Alley.  Kim enjoyed fishing, taking her daughter Skyler, to rock concerts and riding motorcycles.  She took care of many house plants, enjoyed collecting and making Gnomes, but most of all, she loved taking care of her children and family.  Kim was preceded in death by her stepdad, Ron Holmes and her puppy, Alley.

Survivors include her husband the love of her life for over 31 years, Steven Wayne Barrick of Midway; her son, Cody Bishop of Midway; daughters, Skyler Barrick of Midway, Amanda Barrick of Lafayette, IN and Rachel Barrick of Lafayette, IN; brothers, Greg Jones of Lafayette, Ronald Wayne Brown of Midway and Jason Holmes of Lafayette; grandchildren, Avrie, Jordan, Audrie, Kennidy, Dylan, Phoenix, Remington and Richard and great grandchildren, Ezra and Sylas.

Celebration of Life service will be 1:30 P.M. Saturday, October 21, 2023 Savannah VFW Post 660.  All cars and trucks need to be at the VFW before 1:30 pm, for the bikes Kickstands up for last ride at 1:30 P.M. starting at Southern Biker Gear in Richmond Hill.
