Kathryn "Kathy" Ivanowski

Mrs. Kathryn “Kathy” Delores Ivanowski, age 60, passed away at Riverview Health on Friday, February 26, 2021. She was born in Savannah to the late Daniel Stephen Powell and Thelma Eudell Huggins Powell on January 19, 1961. Mrs. Ivanowski attended Holy Church of God at Black Creek, enjoyed puzzles, reading, shopping but most important to her was spending time with her family and all of her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by on daughter, Tina Fort; brother, Jimmy Davis and sister, Debra Faye Powell.

Survivors include her son, Kevin Fort and his fiancé, Amanda Roberts of Ellabell; daughter, Amy Fort of Hinesville; two brothers, Jerry Powell of Pembroke and Larry Powell of Glennville; four sisters, Carol Beckworth of Ellabell, Shirley Suro of Bulloch County, Sue Winters of Groveland and Judy Livingston of Savannah; 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and one on the way and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Flanders Powell Funeral Home from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Funeral service will follow in the Morrison Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jacob Thompson officiating.

Burial will be private at Northside Cemetery.
