Mrs. Kathleen “Kathy” Mock Harvey, 67, passed away Thursday morning, July 28, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Harvey was born on April 17, 1949 in Savannah, GA to the late John and Janet Stewart Mock. Mrs. Harvey was a 1967 graduate of Bryan County High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Georgia Southern College in 1971. She retired as an English teacher with the Bryan County High School with over 35 years of service. Mrs. Harvey enjoyed reading, flowers, the beach, but most of all, loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Julian C. Harvey of Nevils; son, John Harvey of Nevils; daughter, Janet Scott and her husband Kenneth of Brooklet; sister, Linda Dekle and her husband Rocky of Garden City; five grandchildren, Serina Scott, Haygan Davis, Lillian Scott, Natalie Harvey, and Cassie Harvey.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 9 -11 a.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.
Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Brad Butler officiating.
Burial will be held at Lower Black Creek Cemetery.
