Mrs. Karen Fay Story White, age 65 passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at her home while under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice and her family. Mrs. White was born February 14, 1955 to the late Elmer Story and Bessie Mayberry Story in Kansas City, KS. She was a longtime resident of Fort Leonard Wood/ Saint Robert, Missouri before moving to Pembroke several months ago. Mrs. White was a homemaker and a substitute teacher. She was of the Baptist Faith, loved her dogs and cats, was an avid reader and enjoyed growing flowers.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Matthew White, Sr. of Pembroke; children, Terry Jones and Melissa Yowell, both of Missouri, Kyle Matthew Jones, Cliff White, and Roy White, Jr., all of Pembroke and Shane White of Florida; brother, Jim Story of Texas; twin sister, Sharon Power of Missouri and Shirley Brandon of Missouri and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 10 A.M – Noon, Monday, March 2, 2020 at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held Noon, Monday, March 2, 2020 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Rev. Albert Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Northside Cemetery.
A Celebration of Karen’s Life will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, March 7, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Shelbyville, Missouri.
