Judy Carol Lee

Mrs. Judy Carol Lee, 76, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by the love of her family, who were the heart and joy of her life on Sunday, February 2, 2025. Mrs. Lee was born in Odessa, TX to the late Jim and Xyrepha Horrell on August 7, 1948. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mrs. Lee dedicated her life to caring for her family. 

A loving and supportive wife to James Lee, she created a warm and welcoming home where love and laughter were always present. She was a devoted mother and grandmother pouring her heart into raising them with love, kindness, wisdom and unwavering support. 

Once her children were all in school, she found joy in taking care of others as a server in the restaurant industry. Her hard work, kindness and dedication left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. After retiring, she embraced her greatest role yet, being a grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren; filling their lives with love and wonderful memories. To know her was to love her and she leaves a legacy of love, kindness and devotion that will live on through her family. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James “Jimmy” Horrell and sister, Mary Hokett.

Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, James Lee; four children, Cindy Waters (Joey) of Pembroke, Michael Lee (Jenniffer) of Ellabell, Craig Lee of Ellabell and DeeAnn Kromer of Ellabell; 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7. 2025 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Flanders Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Patrick Brannen officiating.

Burial will be private.
