Judith "Judy" Sexton

Judith “Judy” Ellen Smith Sexton, age 81 passed away, Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Ogeechee Area Hospice.  Mrs. Sexton was born in Elyria, OH to the late Charles Smith and Maxine Gott Smith on August 28, 1938.  She lived in Elyria all of her life and was retired as a school crossing guard and also as a switchboard operator with E.H. Roberts Company.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sexton was preceded in death by her son, Todd Michael Sexton and bother, Gerald “Butch” Smith.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Wende and Greg Sims of Ellabell; son, Jayson Sexton of Elyria, OH; and two brothers, Gary Smith of Elyria and Jim Smith of Statesboro.

A memorial service will be held in Elyria, Ohio at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, 200 Donahoo Street, Statesboro, GA 30458.
