Mrs. Emma Juanita K. Vangiller Skinner, 72, passed away at East Georgia Regional Medical Center on Monday, June 26, 2017. She was born on February 26, 1945 in Brooklet to the late Owen, Sr. and Ruby Emanuel Kinard. Mrs. Skinner worked at Claxton Manufacturing as a seamstress and supervisor, was formerly co-owner of East Coast Salvage, was later the owner and operator of The Station and was tax advisor to many in the North Bryan County area.

She is preceded in death by one son, Danny Vangiller, one daughter, Karon Vangiller, and brothers, Billy Kinard, Berman Kicklighter and Major Howard.

Survivors include her husband of 11 years, Gerald Skinner of Statesboro; son, Ronnie Sheppard of Pembroke; daughters, Derene Vangiller Sheppard of Pembroke and Jackie Vangiller of Garden City; brother, Perry Kinard and his wife Kathy of Cheyenne, WY; sisters, Betty White and her husband Thomas of Nevils, Ola Mae Howard and her husband Keith of Sumter, SC and Norma Cannady and her husband Daniel of Brooklet; grandchildren, Joseph Sheppard and his wife Araceli of Richardson, TX, James Sheppard and his wife Jennifer of Savannah, Emily Drake and her husband West of Dublin, OH, Kristy Sheppard of Pembroke and Karen Drake and her husband Justin of Columbus, OH; step-daughter, Lisa Pittman and her husband Ronnie of Statesboro; step-son, Jimmy Skinner of Statesboro; numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 6-9 P.M. Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Friday, June 30, 2017 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Pastor Lester Eugene Wiggins officiating.

Interment will follow in Lower Lotts Creek Primitive Baptist Cemetery.
