Pembroke-Mrs. Linda “Joyce” Deal Fountain age 61 passed away Monday December 15, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Hospital while surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Joyce was a longtime resident of Pembroke and had worked at Gateway Health for 30 years. She loved her family dearly, working in her flowers, her work, especially loved and was known for doing for others, and traveling most especially to the mountains. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years James Randall Fountain, her mother Gladys Sikes Deal, and brothers Danny and Charlie Deal.
She is survived by her father Edward Deal of Brooklet, sons John “Kevin” Fountain of Pembroke, and Mitchell Marsh of Tampa, FL., daughters Teresa Ann Rainey and Kimberly Lorraine Fountain both of Pembroke, brother Dean Rigdon of Brooklet, sisters Debra Wothe of Meldrim and Gail Murray of Brooklet; and eight grandchildren Ashli Green, Stacie Aldrich, Stephen Garrett, Mitch Marsh, Katie Marsh, Kourtney Marsh, Makayla Lee, and Kelan Lee; and eight great-grandchildren and a host of other family members.
Visitation is Wednesday 6-8 P.M. December 17, 2014 at the funeral home. Funeral service is 2 P.M. Thursday December 18, 2014 in the chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Shawn White officiating. Interment will follow in Northside Cemetery. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.flandersmorrisonfuneralhome.com
