Mr. Johnny Karl Shuman, 68, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Emanuel County Medical Center. Mr. Shuman was born on December 27, 1949 in Savannah to John Ora Shuman and Gena Montez Pollard Dickerson. He served in the U.S. Army and was self employed owning a boat and RV Repair company and was of the Methodist Faith. Mr. Shuman was a member of the Gold Prospectors Association of America, held a pilot’s license and captain’s license. He was a certified scuba diving instructor and enjoyed flying planes, bear hunting, salt and freshwater fishing and riding his Harley.
He is preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry Shuman, Kenny Shuman and Joseph Shuman and one half sister, Karen Shuman.
Survivors include his father, John Ora Shuman; mother, Gena Montez Pollard Dickerson; son, Rusty Shuman; daughter, Lisa Shuman; grandchildren Cody L. and Siarra L. Shuman; step-grandchildren, Curtis and Becky L. Carden; three nephews, Jerry Shuman, Craig Shuman and Bryan Shuman; two nieces, Brittany Shuman and Crystal Shuman and his beloved dog, Peanut.
Funeral services for Mr. Shuman will be private.
