Pembroke- John Hubert Neidlinger, Sr. age 92 passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 while under the care of Hospice Savannah and his family. Mr. Neidlinger was born January 14, 1926 to the late Ulrich L. and Esther Noonan Neidlinger. Mr. Neidlinger was a veteran of the U. S. Navy having served in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. After the war, Mr. Neidlinger worked as a switchboard installer for Southern Bell. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge F & AM for over 50 years and was a member of the Alee Shrine Club. Mr. Neidlinger was a long-time member of Pembroke United Methodist Church, loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed his vegetable garden. In addition to his parents, Mr. Neidlinger was predeceased by his wife of over 70 years, Mrs. Janet Bacon Neidlinger and his daughter, Lynn Hazel.
Survivors include two sons, John Neidlinger, Jr. of Pooler and Dale Neidlinger of Savannah; two daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine and Joe Ryle of Pembroke and Susan and Robert Zuccarini of Pembroke; one brother Paul Neidlinger of Augusta; one sister, Irma Smith of Napanee, IN and 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 11 until Noon on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Noon, Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Northside Cemetery with Rev. Thad Harvey officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
