Brooklet- John Cecil Butler, Jr. age 74, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at his home while under the care of hospice and his family. Mr. Butler was born in Eden, Georgia on May 14, 1946 to the late John Cecil Butler, Sr. and the late Kathryn Newman Butler. He was a long-haul truck driver with over 40 years of service and enjoyed raising goats. Mr. Butler also enjoyed hunting, fishing and old westerns.
Survivors include his son, John Cecil Butler, III of Brooklet; one granddaughter, Valerie Butler of Brooklet and one great granddaughter, Jasmine Carabella Butler.
Visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 17, 2020 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Dr. Lawrence Butler officiating. Interment will be private.
Due to COVID-19 the funeral home will limit the amount of guest at one time and ask that guest practice social distancing as well. Face mask are not mandatory but are strongly recommended.
