Brooklet- Mr. Jesse L. Bath, age 81, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014 at Ogeechee Area Hospice. Mr. Bath was a veteran of both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. He served during the Korean War on the USS Kid and was a member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Bath loved collecting, and formerly owned an antique shop. He was also an avid reader and a long-time member of Olive Branch Baptist Church. He is predeceased by his natural parents, Wallace and Rita Bath and adopted parents, Benjamin and Maggie Bath; brothers, Ben, Sam, John, Donald, Jimmie, Jack and Herman Bath; and sisters Minnie, Alene, and Peggy Bath and Hazel Burnsed.
Survivors include two brothers, Gene and James Bath; sister Maggie “Doll” Golding and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 P.M. Friday, Sept. 19 at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at 7 P.M. Friday, Sept. 19 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Rev. Clint Sullens officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Olive Branch Baptist Church or Ogeechee Area Hospice.
