Statesboro- Jenny Lea Shuman McBride, age 44, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021 at East Georgia Regional Hospital after an extended illness. Mrs. McBride was born March 25, 1977 to the late Barry Craig Shuman and Mrs. Jo Ann Thompson Allen. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. Jenny loved to sing, was a great cook, enjoyed arts and crafts and loved keeping her livestock and her garden. In addition to her father, Mrs. McBride is preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Jeanette Shuman and Gene and Christine Thompson.
Survivors include one son, Trevor Mason of Pembroke; two daughters and a son-in-law, Whitney and Christopher K. Boone of Ellabell and Katelyn Daniellle Mason of Statesboro; her mother, Jo Ann Allen, step mother, Michelle Shuman; step father, Joe Allen; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Cindy Shuman of Springfield and Daniel and Cassi Shuman of Brooklet; one sister and brother-in-law, Wendy and Josh Corley of Rincon; three step sisters, Red Lariscy of Brooklet, Stephanie Lariscy of Brooklet and Shelby Lariscy of Ellabell and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews
Visitation will be held 1-3 P.M. Friday, July 23, 2021 at the funeral home.
Funeral service will follow at 3 P.M. Friday. July 23, 2021 in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Tyson officiating. Interment will follow in Old Fellowship Cemetery.
