Jeannette Dew Smith, age 62, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Mrs. Smith was born in Bishopville, SC to John Thomas and Pearl Dew on August 8, 1955. Mrs. Smith lived in South Carolina many years before moving to Savannah. She was former owner and operator of Jeanette’s Restaurant in Manning, SC and was a member of Savannah Holy Church of God. Mrs. Smith was an excellent cook, enjoyed fishing and crabbing, but most of all; she loved her granddaughter, Savannah Faye Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene E. Smith, Jr. of Kinston, NC; one son, Stewart Shane Smith of Atlanta; one daughter, Chasity Renae Wallace of Bishopville, SC; one sister, Virginia Dew of Bishopville, SC; and her granddaughter, Savannah Faye Smith of Clayton, NC.
