Janet Stark

Mrs. Janet Marie Stark, 72, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Sunabella at Savannah. Mrs. Stark was born on October 8, 1948 to the late Robert and Marie Sanders Johnson in Dayton, OH. She was employed with Pier 1 as a warehouse supervisor for 20 years and later at Home Depot for 15 years as a warehouse associate and she also enjoyed sewing.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Sandy Johnson; sister, Rose Palmer and one niece, Rose Pullens Landing.

Survivors include her son, Terry Lee Stark, Jr. and his wife Dona of Rincon; daughter, Kathy Meek and her husband Tom of Pembroke; three brothers, Robert Johnson, Gary Johnson and John Johnson and his wife Grace all of Florida; three sisters, Nancy Kinder and her husband Steve of Dayton, OH, Sandra Breyer and her husband Dennis of FL and Beth Carter and her husband Marcus of FL; four grandchildren, Thomas Hicks of Pembroke, Nicholas Stark, Matthew Stark and Lauren Stark all of Rincon; a special friend of 30 years, Lewis Trotter of Pooler and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will follow in the Morrison Memorial Chapel with Doctor Lawrence Butler officiating.

Burial will be private.
