James Thompson

Mr. James Austin Thompson, age 10, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021. Mr. Thompson was born in Statesboro, GA to Derrick Alan Thompson and Ashley Lynn Jalufka on August 6, 2010. He enjoyed balloons, dogs or as he referred to them as pup-pups, music, going fast and had a big smile.

Survivors include his mother, Ashley Lynn Jalufka of Pembroke; father, Derrick Alan Thompson of Pembroke; brother, Daniel Chatham Jalufka of Pembroke; grandmother, Rhonda “MeMe” Harrison of Pembroke; great grandmother, Diana “Granny” Johnson of Pembroke; two uncles, Joseph Thompson and his wife Kylie of Savannah and Nicholas Jackson and his wife Blythe of Guyton; aunt, Brook Lamb of Arkansas and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 11:00 – 12:00 p.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Reverend Dylan Bowden officiating.

Burial will be private.
