Mr. James Ronnie “Jimmy” Davis, 67, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Mr. Davis worked as a mechanic owning Jimmy’s Service Center; he also worked for YBL Services installing underground optical fiber cable and was also a construction worker. He was an avid gardener, loved hunting and fishing, was a great handy man and the world’s greatest Papa.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Powell and granddaughter, Kira Hailey Swaney.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Wanda Davis; sons, James Ronnie Davis, Jr. and wife Julie of Staten Island, NY, Victor Wilson of Rincon and John Clay Davis of Pembroke; daughters, Amy Davis of Bloomingdale, Janet Davis of Blitchton and Tammy Swaney and husband Rick of Ellabell; brothers, Jerry Powell of Pembroke, Larry Powell of Glennville, Jimmie and Billy Davis of Palm Bay, FL; sisters, Carol Beckworth of Ellabell, Shirley Suro of Bulloch, Sue Winters of Groveland, Judy Livingston of Savannah, Kathy Ivanowski of Pembroke and Arlene Davis of FL; grandchildren, Katheleen and Gracie Swaney, Amber Wilson, Victoria Wilson, Luke Wilson, Reagan Wilson, Maddox Wilson, Jessie and Josie Stokes, Jewel and Jaclyn Adams, Jimmy, Johnny and Vivian Davis , Floyd Hendricks, Robert Davis and Justin Kim; and great-grandson, Gabriel Hendricks.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the funeral home from 6 -9 p.m.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jacob Thompson officiating.

Burial will follow at Northside Cemetery.
