Mr. Ivan Thomas (Tommy) “Pop” Goodrich, 82, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 at home with his family by his side after a long courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Mr. Goodrich was born in Savannah, GA on June 30, 1935 to Ivan Thomas Goodrich and Mary Etta Cowart Goodrich. He had been a resident of Pembroke, Bulloch County, GA since 2005. Tommy was a 1952 graduate of Savannah High School and had proudly served in the National Guard, 118th Field Artillery, 48th Division. He was currently a member of Lawrence Baptist Church, but prior to moving to Bulloch County he and his wife had been active, faithful members of Delesseps Avenue Baptist Church for many years. Tommy was employed many years in the building supply business as a salesman for Neal Blun, Air Control Products, Keller Industries and Builderama. Tommy loved his God, family and all family gatherings. He enjoyed gardening, history, genealogy, sports, fishing and food.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his wife’s parents Arnold and Alvarine Starling Parrish.

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Annette Parrish Goodrich, two daughters, Susan G. Sapp (Dan) and Sondra G. Ham (Walter); son, Ivan T. Goodrich, IV (Debbie) all of Pembroke; six grandchildren, Ivan “Thomas” Goodrich V, Rachel Goodrich, Cody Goodrich, Joseph Ham, Danielle Smith and Jennifer Spence; three brothers, Charles F. Goodrich (Helen) of Statesboro, John W. (Billy) Goodrich and Clyde L. Goodrich both of San Antonio, TX; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Terrell and Evelyn Parrish of Simpsonville, SC; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and special family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 12 – 2 p.m. at Lawrence Baptist Church.

Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Albert Hodges, III and Elder Daniel Strickland officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lawrence Baptist Church Cemetery.
