Mr. Henry “Clayton” White, 64, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 19, 2018. He was born on July 21, 1953 to the late Cleveland W. White and Sadie D. White in Savannah. He was a past member of the Boilermakers Union Local 26 where he worked for 20 years. He then went to work at Savannah Electric where he retired after 19 years. His favorite pastimes were fishing the saltwater creeks, hunting at Lewis Hunting Club and spending time with his family, who will miss him greatly. He was the kind of man who left his mark in life. Whether it was with his “witty words of wisdom” or something he built with his hands. He was known by older friends as “Leader” and newer friends as “Reddog”.
He is preceded in death by 7 brothers, C.W., Gene, John, Joe, Robert and Edward; 3 sisters, Patty, Linda and Diane.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara Wilson White; daughter, Crystal Leigh White; son, C. Patrick White (Bridget) all of Ellabell; 3 grandsons, Dawson Ethridge of Metter, Reid and Ryder White of Ellabell and numerous nieces and nephews.
