Gwendolyn Farmer

Mrs. Gwendolyn Aletta Platt Farmer, 75, passed away at her residence on Saturday, October 27, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Farmer was born on March 30, 1943 in Ohoopee, GA to Warren and Lois Colson Platt. She worked for many years as a hairdresser for Gwen’s Beauty Salon.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis “Snort” Farmer; son, Jerry Meeks; parents Warren and Lois Colson Platt; three brothers, Dale Platt, Donald Platt and Kenneth Platt; stepfather, Al Saunders and two sons-in-law, Allan "Clink" Cline and Gary Harvey.

Survivors include four daughters, Vicki Moser (Tommy) of Collins, Gina Cline and Wendy Harvey both of Ellabell and Janeese Balsemo (Mark) of Hastings, MN; sister, Margaret Dasher of Claxton; 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.

Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ryan Wilson officiating.

Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Stillmore City Cemetery in Stillmore, GA.
