Gloria Dianne "Tiny" Bragg Newman

Mrs. Gloria Dianne “Tiny” Bragg Newman, 68, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Newman was born in Savannah on July 26, 1956 to the late James Oliver Bragg and Juanita Weathers Bragg. She was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church, a loving and caring home maker and enjoyed gardening, camping and fishing and crocheting. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Randall Iverson Newman, Sr.; daughter, Lora Alice Wilson; step-father, Lucius “Billy” Butler; brother, John Bragg; sister, Nancy Robinson and two grandchildren, Randall Iverson Newman, III. and Gavin Dale Newman. 

Survivors include her son, Randall Iverson “Bubba” Newman, Jr. and his wife Crystal of Ellabell; two brothers, Raymond “Scooter” Hansford and his wife Linda “Woodie” of Pembroke and Ken Butler and his wife Wendy of Pembroke; sister, Wanda Newman of Ellabell; six grandchildren, Courtney Wilson, Jesse Ennis, Emily Floyd, Mason Newman, Mia Newman and Ayden Wells; four great grandchildren, Madlynn Allen, Benson Wheeler, Paisley Wheeler and Allison Wheeler and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 11:00 – 12:00 p.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Flanders Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stan Tyson officiating.

Burial will be held at Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
