Mr. George Wesley Mangum, 65, passed away Thursday, June 11, 23015 at Landmark Hospital in Savannah. Mr. Mangum was born in Dennison, Tx to the late Ocie Kurk Mangum and Vinnie Norine Arnie Mangum. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and later worked as a security guard at Rogers State Prison and also cut hair at George’s Barber Shop. He was a member of Landmark Holiness Church and enjoyed gardening and puzzles.
Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years, Linda Gooding Mangum; brothers, Kurk Mangum of Hawaii and Ken Mangum of Florida; sisters, Shriley Dicenso of Tulsa, Az, Virginia Miller of Las Vegas, Nv, Linda Stanton of Illinois and Pamela Aldridge of Ocala, Fl.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be held following the visitation in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jeff Hensley and Rev. Jeff Butler officiating.
Interment will be private.
