Ellabell- Freddie C. Giddens, Sr. age 76, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015 at Candler Hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Giddens was a farmer and a member of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and singing. He was predeceased by his parents, Joe Ed and Sally Giddens and one son, Wendall Giddens.
Survivors include his sons, Charles Giddens of Ellabell, Joe Giddens of Savannah, Freddie Giddens, Jr. of Ellabell, Jimmy Giddens of Reidsville and Donnie Poston of Richmond Hill; daughters, Elaine Giddens Newton of Savannah and Sarah Altman of Lumber City; two sisters, Lucille Burch and Joan Shipes; 18 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will begin at 1 P.M. Friday, Feb. 27, 2015 at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at 3 P.M. Friday in Northside Cemetery. Flandersmorrisonfuneralhome.com
