George Frank Tatum, 68, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center. He was of the Baptist faith retired from Stone Container with 21 years of service and was in law enforcement for 49 years. He was a former member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club and enjoyed camping, going to Fleas Markets, riding his motorcycle, spending time with his family and fishing with his grandchildren.

Mr. Tatum is preceded in death by his parents, George Frank Tatum, Sr. and Ann Rogers Tatum; and sister, Frances Sellars.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 ½ years, Eileen Mixson Tatum; son, Shane Tatum (Karen) of Ellabell; sisters, Jean Simons, Penny Tatum both of Bulloch County, Nancy Black (Charles) of Thunderbolt, Ga; grandchildren, Austin Tatum (Lauren), Ashton Tatum, Damion Tatum, and Fabeion Tatum all of Ellabell; and his 3 special girls, Freckles, Pickle and Coco.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 9, 2015 at the funeral home from 6 – 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will at Lower Black Creek Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be the Bryan County Traffic Team.

Honorary Pallbearers will be all law enforcement.
