Ellabell- Frances B. Wilson died January 12, 2015, after an extended illness. Mrs. Wilson was an active member of Olive Branch Baptist Church for 72 years and taught Sunday school for 35 years. Mrs. Wilson retired from the Bryan County Board of Education where she was lunch room manager at Black Creek Elementary and Lanier Primary for 15 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Woodrow Wilson and her husband of eight years, J.W. Wilkes; her parents, Thomas G. and Julia Dukes Brown; three brothers, Ted, Gene, and Chester Brown; sisters, Hazel Hales, Geraldine Wolfe, Irene Murray and Mae Belle Larrimore.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-laws Sylvia (Skip) Brandon, Faye (David) Owens, Marolyn (Gary) Strickland, Michele (Paul) Godley and stepson Rocky (Marie) Wilkes; one sister Tommie Minor; grandchildren, Ronica (Keith) Cox, Julie (Kevin) Boatright, Matt (Lindsay) Owens and J.P. Godley; three great grandchildren, Loralei Cox, Sarah and Molly Boatright, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 1:30–3 P.M. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 at Olive Branch Baptist Church. Funeral service will be 3 P.M. at the church with Rev. Pete Wall and Rev. Clint Sullens officiating. Interment will follow in Lower Black Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Olive Branch Baptist Church. Honorary Pallbearer will be the member of her adult Sunday School Class.
