Mr. Enoch Roscoe O’Neal, 84, passed away Thursday at Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 19, 1932 in Alston, GA to the late Carl Roscoe and Edith Irene Smith O’Neal. Mr. O’Neal worked as a machine operator at Union Camp for 42 years, was a member of Burkhalter Baptist Church, enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a resident for over 50 years in Savannah.
He is preceded in death by a son, Terry L. O’Neal; brother, William K. O’Neal and sister, Colleen Woods.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mary R. O’Neal; son, Mickey W. O’Neal and his wife Lana of Pooler; two daughters, Loretta Sue Rigdon and her husband Gary of Hephzibah and Nancy Ciucevich and her husband Lee of Dublin; brother, Harold D. O’Neal and his wife Jenell of Pembroke; two sisters, Mary Ellen and her husband James Wilson of Lyons and Patricia Ann Bass of Savannah; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 5 -7 p.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Galbreath Cemetery near Alston, GA with Rev. Bob Corley officiating. Family will receive friends at 2 p.m.
