Mr. Edward Charlie Beasley, 79, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Beasley was a long-time resident of Ellabell and was retired from Union Camp as a machine operator with over 42 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Blitchton, where he was the former chairman of the Deacons.  Mr. Beasley was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved providing vegetables from his garden to his neighbors.

Survivors include his wife of over 61 years, Frances Karen Bazemore Beasley  of Ellabell; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Angela Beasley of Ellabell and Johnnie and Kathy Beasley of Ellabell; daughters and sons-in-law, Kay McClelland and Jimmy Joyner of Ellabell, Cheryl and Al Flanders of Pembroke and Theresa and Andy Stafford of Ellabell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Denton and Martha Nell Beasley of Swainsboro and Terry and Denise Beasley of Fernandina; brother/brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Vaughn Bazemore and Leslie and Terry Bazemore; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 11 -1 p.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.

Funeral service will start at 1 p.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Mr. Beasley’s Men’s Sunday School Class, Leon Fortner, Lee Benson and Jimmy Webb.

Burial will be private.
