Mrs. Edna Marion Culp Bazemore, age 87, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Ogeechee Area Hospice. Mrs. Bazemore was born in Toledo, OH on July 18, 1928 to the late William Marion Anthony Culp and Edna Nellie Busick Culp. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pembroke, a member of the Bryan County Shrine Club Ladies Auxiliary, and past member of the Eastern Star. She loved and cared for many children, enjoyed baking, was an excellent cook, and had a giving spirit of service to others in need.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Leroy J. Bazemore, Sr., son LaRoy Walden Bazemore and granddaughter Tammy Anspach.
Survivors include four daughters and son-in-laws, Georgia Carol and Bruce Bechtel of Pembroke, Frances and Joseph Bukowiec of Pembroke, Rose and Tracy Alford of Savannah and Tina M. and Tim Schwartz of Co.; brother, Wayne Culp and his wife Drew of Pembroke; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 3-5 P.M. at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday January 11, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Pembroke with Dr. Brad Butler officiating.
Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Pembroke, Shriner Cripple Children’s Fund or Ogeechee Area Hospice.
