Pembroke-Mr. Henry Edward “Eddie” Cribbs, Sr. age 67 passed away Tuesday June 10, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Mr. Cribbs was a longtime resident of Pembroke and a self-employed carpenter. He was an avid fisherman and loved to camp. He was predeceased by his companion of 30 years Katherine “Kitty” Finch Johnson, and his parents Henry Odell and Merle Jenkins Cribbs.
He is survived by Kitty’s children Kathy Ringhoffer of Pembroke, Karen Oliver of Ellabell, Kelly Delapenia of Rincon, three brothers Jimmy Cribbs of Newington, Freddie Cribbs of Columbus, Billy Cribbs of Jacksonville, FL and sisters Florence Hunnicutt of Guyton and Dianne Ward of Pineora,; and five grandchildren Ashley Oliver, Ansley Alley, Amber Blocker, Andrew Delapenia, and Tyler Ringhoffer, and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 1-3 P.M. Friday June 13, 2014 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 3 P.M. Friday June 13, 2014 in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Stan Tyson officiating. Interment will follow in Northside Cemetery. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home of Pembroke is in charge of arrangements.
