Mrs. Earline Padgett Morgan Crosby, age 89 passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018 at her granddaughter’s home. Mrs. Crosby was born July 1, 1929 in Emanuel County to the late Frank Gordon Padgett and Ruthie Slocum Padgett. She was a long time resident of Bloomingdale and was a homemaker. Mrs. Crosby enjoyed keeping her flower garden and was an excellent cook.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crosby was preceded in death by husbands, J.P. Morgan and Tom Watson Crosby; sons, Stan Morgan and Brian Morgan, brothers, Homer, Hubert, and Lamar Padgett and sister, Dorothy Reese, Orene Mosley, Marilyn Allen.
Survivors include daughter, Janice Louise Morgan of Savannah; brothers Melvin Padgett of Hampton, SC and Oscar Padgett of Ellabell; sisters, Elizabeth Stephens of Bloomingdale, Opal Gay of Lyons; eight grandchildren, Wendy and Wendell Strickland, Mistie and Jason Strickland, Kristy and Nick Birchfield, Jason Ward, Morgan Gay, Josh Noble, Keith Noble, Kayley Morgan and Tori Morgan; nine great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.
Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clay Loadman, Sr. and Oscar Padgett officiating.
Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
