Donna Murphey

Mrs. Donna Lou Murphey, 83, passed away at Hospice Savannah on Wednesday, September 2, 2020. Mrs. Murphey was born in Thunderbolt, GA on March 13, 1937 to the late Jasper Canty Bryant, Sr. and Minnie Maebell Martin Bryant. She retired after 15 years of service with Wal-Mart as a Crafts and Fabrics Department Manager and was a member of the Church of Christ at Ellabell. Mrs. Murphey enjoyed singing, cross word puzzles, crocheting, reading but most important to her was spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Jasper Canty Bryant, Jr.

Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years, Edward Walter Murphey; three daughters and one son-in-law, Debbi Davis of Ellabell, Linda Diann Whitten (Dave) of Suwanee, GA and Carol Berger of Midway; sister-in-law, Sandra Bryant; seven grandchildren, Nathan Whitten, Lindsay Delain (Jeremy), Emylee Whitten, Bryant Murphey, Kyle Murphey, Jessyca Griffin and Kolby Burger; two great grandchildren, Liam Delain and Leila Delain; nieces and nephew, Susie Hoover, Chris Hoover, Candy Martin, Heather Martin and Tracey Caldwell and several other nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Grave Hill Cemetery with Doctor Thad Harvey officiating.
