Mr. David Duncan Hughes, 85, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Candler Hospital. Mr. Hughes was born on March 21, 1930 in Wauchula, FL to the late Duncan Robert and Lutishia Youmans Hughes. He was a member of Coastal Cathedral Church of God, worked as a custodian for Chatham Nursing Home for over 35 years, studied the scriptures, enjoyed traveling and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived b his wife Marian Curtis Hughes of Pooler; daughter, Cammie L. Willis and her husband Raymond of Pooler; nieces and nephews, Robert G. Hughes, David Hughes, Jesse Hughes Glenn Hughes, Peggy Tate, Pamela Drazich, Pat Hughes and Valerie Hughes.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 3 p.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Robert G. Hughes officiating.

Burial will follow at Northside Cemetery.

Flanders Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. David Duncan Hughes.
