David Ray Futch 56, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014. He was born in Bulloch County Georgia in 1958 to the late Kelly and Marie Gibson Futch. He has lived in Jacksonville since 1976. Ray was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be dearly missed by all.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Phyllis; daughter, Kimberly Acuff Smith; Brothers, John Futch, Jack Futch (Bonita), Joseph Futch (Linda), Lee Futch (Beverly) and Roger Futch (Brenda); sisters, Mary Crosby, Margie Kessler (Ralph), Syble Bacon (Felton), Virginia Shuman (Doug), and Carolyn Dawson (David); grandson, Jason “Jake” Acuff; and a host other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday evening, November 25 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Rev. Chris Coram and Rev. Todd Alvarez officiating. Graveside services will be held in Northside Cemetery on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Pembroke, Georgia. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening starting at 5:00 p.m. at Cedar Bay Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Jacksonville Baptist Church. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
