Danny Ray Covington, Jr.

Ellabell- Danny Ray Covington, Jr., age 50, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024. Mr. Covington was born in Statesboro, Georgia to the late Danny Ray Covington, Sr. and Sheryl Swint. Danny was a truck driver for Quaker Trucking for many years and loved racing and antique cars. In addition to his father, Danny was preceded in death by one brother, Mike Covington and son-in-law, Lance Toole.

Survivors include his wife, Cassie McBrayer Covington of Ellabell; daughters, Haley Covington Toole, Hannah Covington, Chloe Beam, Caydence Beam, Colbie Beam and Cheyanne Covington, all of Ellabell; one son, Dylan Covington of Ellabell; parents, Sheryl and Wayne Swint of Stilson and Cheryl Covington of Columbia, SC; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Elliot and Anna Swint of Brooklet and Brian and Jennifer Covington of Columbia, SC and one grandson, Eli Vinson Toole.

Visitation will be held Noon - 2 P.M. Saturday, January 4, 2024 at the funeral home.

Funeral service will follow at 2 P.M. Saturday, January 4, 2024 in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home with Pastor Wesley Sherrod officiating. Interment will follow in Northside Cemetery.
