Cynthia Christine "Cindy" Scharp

Faulkville-Mrs. Cynthia Christine “Cindy” Scharp, age 61, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Mrs. Scharp was born in Germany on March 15, 1962 to the late Fred Radcliffe and Shirley Ann Murphy Dowd. She was a certified nursing assistant for over 4 years before becoming disabled. Mrs. Scharp was of the Baptist faith, she enjoyed watching Nascar, WWE, listening to music and most important to her, was her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Darrell Dowd and two sisters, Tonya Jonas and Lisa Bray.

Survivors include one son, Justin Mordine of Effingham; daughter, Danielle “Dani” Scharp of Hawkinsville; brother, Fred “Bubba” Radcliffe of Bulloch; two sisters, Tracy Williams and her husband Henry of Ellabell and Shay Williams and her husband Tracy of Effingham; stepfather that saw her as his own, Glenn Dowd and his wife Aloisa of Bulloch; four grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

 Memorial service will be held on 5 P.M. Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
