Colby Glen Minis

Mr. Colby Glen Minis, 17, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Memorial Hospital. Mr. Minis was born in Savannah to Charles Anthony Minis and Courtney Leann Sloan on October 19, 2007. He was currently a 10th grader at Bryan County High School where he played on the Bryan County Redskins Football team as a defensive lineman. Mr. Minis enjoyed going to the river, riding four wheelers and listening to music. 

He is preceded in death by his brother, Grayson Jax Sloan-Minis; sister, Caylynn Elisabeth Minis; paternal grandfather, Chuck Minis; maternal grandfather, Randy Glen Sloan; maternal grandmother, Lisa Ann Sloan and paternal great-great grandmother, Leola Lynn.

Survivors include his parents, Charles Anthony Minis and Courtney Leann Sloan both of Ellabell; brother, Tristan Minis of Ellabell; paternal aunt, Becky Rodgers; paternal uncle, Scott Thompson; three maternal aunts, Nikki Sloan, Brittany Sloan and Ginny Walden; maternal uncle, Adam Farrer; paternal grandmother, Tammy Minis; seven first cousins, Jaden, Trevor, Mike, Madison, Makayla, Brittyn and Serenity and numerous other cousins. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will follow at 5:30 p.m. in the Flanders Powell Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be private.
