Clara Rebecca "Becky" Sikes

Ellabell- Clara Rebecca “Becky” Wilkes Sikes, age 70, passed away Tuesday evening, September 7, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.  Mrs. Sikes was born in Bartow, FL to the late Curtis Franklin Wilkes and the late Adell Jackson Wilkes.  Mrs. Becky was a homemaker and loved growing flowers and gardening.  She was a collector and enjoyed singing, fishing, camping and taking care of animals.  Mrs. Sikes was a long-time member of Black Creek Holy Church of God.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Grady Dwight Sikes; two brothers, Franklin Wilkes and Jerome Wilkes and three sisters, Rosine Williams, Susan Singletary, and Jackie Todd.

Survivors include her husband of over 54 years, Grady V. Sikes of Ellabell; two sons, James Austin Sikes of VA and Adam P. Sikes of Ellabell;  five daughters, Rebecca Ann Sikes of Ellabell, Mary Patterson of Pembroke, Sonya Lynn Pennington of Brooklet, Heather Michelle Woods of Ellabell and Annie Kate Sikes of Ellabell; one brother, Richard Wilkes of Pembroke; three sisters, Peggy Cowart of Pembroke, Patricia Tokarz of MS and Elaine Boyles of Pembroke; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 4-7 P.M. Friday, September 10, 2021 at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 3 P.M. Saturday, September 11, 2021 in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Tyson officiating.  Interment to follow in Ellabell United Methodist Cemetery.
