Cheryl Elizabeth Nesmith

Ellabell-  Mrs. Cheryl Elizabeth NeSmith , age 72 passed away Sunday morning, August 12, 2018 at her home after an extended illness.  Mrs. NeSmith was born in Savannah on May 13, 1946 to the late Mayo Benton and Sarah Turner Benton.  She was a homemaker, enjoyed crafts and fishing, and especially loved her time with her family.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. NeSmith was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Charles Edward NeSmith, Sr.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in law, Charles E. “Bo’ NeSmith, Jr. and Leeann NeSmith of Ellabell; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah  NeSmith Cook and Keith Cook of Pembroke; grandchildren, Liz NeSmith, Jessie NeSmith, Corey and Megan Cook, Courtney Cook, Austin and Alexis NeSmith, Brandon NeSmith and Chucky NeSmith; great grandchildren, Chris Matthews, Matty NeSmith, Kilyee Coppola, Alicean NeSmith and Greyson NeSmith and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with interment to follow in Northside Cemetery.
