Pembroke
Mr. Charles Jasper “Jimmy” Hodges, age 74, passed away Thursday, April 07, 2016 while
under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. Mr. Hodges was a life-long resident of Pembroke and an
Army veteran. He was a self-employed truck driver, an avid fisherman and hunter and loved to
garden.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Mary McFarland Hodges of Black Creek; two sons, Chris
(Carleen) Hodges of Statesboro and Alex Hodges of Minnesota; two daughters, Stacie Hargray and
April Thomas, both of Minnesota; two stepchildren, Melanie (Valli) Gapac of Black Creek and Jason McFarland of Black Creek; three sisters, Joanne (Glenn) Crowe of Hahira, Louise (George) Williams of Groveland, and Lavon Durrence of Pembroke; 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be 1 P.M. Saturday in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with interment to follow with military honors in Northside Cemetery.
