Mr. Calvin Douglas “Doug” Sorrell, 61, passed away on April 24, 2018 at Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 24, 1957 in Fort Lauderdale, FL to the late Calvin and Carolyn E. Scott Sorrell. He worked for numerous years before becoming disabled as a millwright worker with Millwright Local Union #1263. Mr. Sorrell enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, gardening but most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Mary Elizabeth Sorrell; two sons, Michael Sorrell of OH and Geoffrey Sorrell of KY; four sisters, Charlene Lee and her husband Bill of Savannah, Cathy Hughes of Statesboro, Christine Stout and her husband Keith of Atlanta and Lori Fordham and her husband Randy of Statesboro; 7 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be private.
